Our Story
Little Empire began as a new creative chapter inspired by our kids and how they can turn anything—rocks, shadows, cardboard boxes—into art.
We chose the name because childhood is basically its own tiny kingdom: hopscotch grids, backyard galaxies, pillow forts ruled by invisible dragons. Anywhere can become a Little Empire.
Our goal is simple: To help families dress their kids in pieces that feel true to who they are especially if who they are is a little weird.

Meet the Shopkeeper
Megan Jean Sovern is the founder of Little Empire. She’s also a pattern enthusiast who believes dressing confidently as a kid can carry you through your whole dang life.
After years spent dreaming up ideas for big brands, she founded Little Empire to bring that same imagination to kids’ style.
Megan lives in Decatur, GA with her handsome husband, Ted, and their two excellent kids in a charming house that’s kind of haunted.
She has no idea what she’s doing most of the time.
